Designer-in-Residence Aaron Bjork

CFAR is thrilled to welcome Aaron Bjork as 2020-21 Designer-in-Residence. In addition to pursuing his own creative work through a research appointment at the University of Oregon, resulting in some form of public engagement during the 2021-22 year, Aaron will be designing a number of pieces for various CFAR initiatives.

Aaron Bjork’s discursive skillset bridges an enthusiasm for critical expression in the digital arts and over a decade working on high-profile projects within interdisciplinary design studios. The focus of his practice emerges as experimental videos, immersive installations, internet-based art, and progressive publications. His work has been exhibited at Gallery 151, New York, Ny.; Fisk Gallery, Portland, Or.; SOIL Gallery, Seattle, Wa.; Ditch Projects, Springfield, Or.; and has been curated in internet-based exhibitions with Fluidity.Online, ECLIPSECORE, and The Wrong Biennale. Bjork holds an MFA from the University of Oregon. He currently serves as associate professor (adj.) in graphic design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
